Busy Bee

Update.....camped weekend before last w/our friends the Halfacres. Had a blast. Even did Tai Chi in the morning under a huge pine tree complete w/music and both the dogs watching us. Dad came up on Saturday night and joined us for dinner. On the way home we stopped @ a lovely spot and had lunch outdoors and ate up the rest of the food. When we returned home we got cleaned up and headed over to our community ballroom for 'jitterbug' dancing lessons in preparation for the "Hot August Nights' dance party on the 21st. It was fun. Two hours of non-stop jittering. The 'hub' doesn't know it, but he has the moves. He's getting pretty good. This last weekend we went over to our friends the Ristows to practice our dance steps on their large family room tiled floor. More fun!! Sunday was more lessons and more people showed up. We skyped w/Cortny and Rich last night and showed them some of our moves. I think they were impressed. I am going as a 'car hop' complete w/uniform from the 50's. Bill is going to be a nerd, complete w/suspenders and a pocket protector for his pencils. Looking ahead, I leave next Friday to drive to Texas to help Katie and Tim move into their own pads. They have graduated to adult-hood, and I'm having problems cutting the apron strings. I will always want to gather them under my wing and protect them from the world. Learning to be a friend and confidante and less a meddling, opinionated mother has been a tough road for me to hoe. I look @ my precious Cortny and the wonderful relationship I have w/her and pray that it will be the same w/Tim and Katie. Speaking of Katie, I was walking by Pier One the other night and there were two pcs. of furniture outside that were 90% off. One was a darling wrought iron coffee table that was missing the glass top. You'll never guess how much I paid for it.....8.88 cents plus tax. Katie now has a coffee table. Don't you love those deals :) Well, there you go. I don't know if anyone still reads my blog, after watching "Julia, Julia".... I'm feeling a bit 'narcissistic' about the whole thing. If it wasn't so doggone therapeutic, I would close up shop. Is anyone out there????

Of course we're still here - and we're still reading about your adventures, and we're still missing you guys.
But I gotta say - those are the absolute smallest toes I've seen. And I'm not refering to Scully....

Yes, Yes. I'm still reading...it's just that for multiple reasons (blondeness, busy-ness, and age) I don't always remember to check! Speaking of bargains - got my dress to wear to Steve's wedding for $40!
Miss you guys!!!
