Let me start by saying I am writing this a day late. Got into the rv park very late and was to whipped to write. O.K., you're probably wondering, what great and interesting news would I have to share after riding in a car all day towing our new home. Well...here's some interesting tidbits. This one's for my dad. When I was a young girl I was in love w/Donny Osmond. I mean....I thought he was 'groovy'. (it was back in the early 70's). So, anyhoo, my favorite song he sang was "Go Away Little Girl". I had a dance routine that went w/it while I sang along while holding my microphone, (a stick from the backyard.) I knew it frontward and backward....so did my dad. He told me one day "Tami, if I hear that song one more time I'm gonna throw that 45 out the window (for you younger readers, that was what they called a single record). Do you think I stopped singing it, no, only I had to do it secretly. So, what's that have to do w/yesterday...it came on the radio. The beauty of XM. Oh my gosh...I started singing real loud and even thought I remembered a few of the steps from my old routine. The 'hub' got a big kick out of it. Then, another song from my past came on, I should say Cortny's. I think it was her favorite first song, the theme from "The Muppet Show." We would watch it together every night when she was just a little Muppet herself. Ahhh....reminiscing about the good ole' days while driving along, and stopping every 200 hundred miles to fill up w/gas for 70.00. We could have stayed in 5 star hotels for the same price we are paying for gas. We did manage to hang behind a big truck for a time. According to "Myth Busters" it cuts down on gas consumption and makes the ride smoother. Take a look at the pic I posted of it. Those of you from Allentown, make sure you look at it closely. Well, the 'hub' is out working on our home trying to make it more live able (we don't have any running water yet). So I best be off to see how I can help. Maybe I can sing my favorite lil' ditty for him. I'm sure he will be thinking "Go Away Little Girl."
